| Sådd | Sow January to March. Germinate at a constant soil temperature of 20-30C (68-86F) on the surface of a good free draining seed compost. Apply a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 3-21 days. |
| Odling | Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. After 5-6 weeks, move to 10cm (4in) pots. Begin regular liquid feeds 3-4 weeks after final potting. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot. |
